How can any of us manage to look ahead when so many of us are stuck in the grief of where we were?

How do we create something when we are still grieving the loss of what had been?

How do we start new relationships?

How do we pick up the pieces of our lives without bitterness?

Is it possible to experience the grief of a loss of identity AND to move fruitfully into something else, something new without bitterness, more sadness and with a sense of celebration?

Is it possible to recover from the grief? Is it possible to celebrate new life, new purpose in the midst of a sense of loss?

A visitation of the story of Naomi and her sense of loss, returning home after the death of her husband and sons, gives us insight into the process of restoration in the midst of grief.
